Greeters and Ushers
See
You in September! Well, another great year has come to a close. As I look at the kids moving up from one class to another I am constantly moved by the growth I see in them. Most of the kids have been coming to Sunday School since the age of 2 and now are about to enter into or just completed Confirmation classes. Boy, time does pass quickly! But then, we have the joyful expectation of seeing many new little faces as or Cradle Roll youngsters reach the age to begin our Sunday School program and the cycle begins again. I am already working on next year's Sunday School program and am planning more trips to Camp Brainerd, more children's mission projects and of course dinging (chiming) and singing. I still remember my days in Sunday School with felt boards and take home pages and of course the annual Christmas program. For some reason as we get older we remember more clearly the great times we had on Sunday and great times at church camp. Please mark your calendars for September 9th as "Kick-Off Sunday" for the new year. And speaking of the new Sunday School season, with the approaching birth of Julie and Kevin Birk's son we will be looking for 2 new teachers for the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade class. Julie and Kevin are going to take some time off to enjoy their new baby but will still be involved in our Youth Group. The class will be small with only about 5 children and plenty of help is available. So please search your hearts and see if you would like to give it a try, believe me, you will be glad you did! For information on any aspect of our Sunday School program, give me a call at 610-261-2012 or email me at etmaxell@hotmail.com Congratulations
to the 2007 Confirmation Class On May 20th, 5 students were confirmed by Lay-Pastor Distler. Congratulations to Doug Barriner, Bryne Heffner, Haley Linton, Carlee Worman, and Shannon McNeill for having successfully completed the 2 year confirmation program. I would like to also thank all the parents for their commitment to the program. Family life is so hectic (and at times overwhelming) yet these parents made and fulfilled their commitment to seeing that their child made it to class every Monday as well as attendance at church services. So I say Hoorah to all the parents! We have 3 returning confirmation students for the fall, so Amber, Emily and Jarod I'll see you in September. Confirmation
Classes 2007-2008 I will be scheduling a time in August for all parents and children interested in learning about next fall's confirmation class. Confirmation classes at our church are open to any students either 13 years of age and/or entering teh 7th grade. We have a two year program with a 1 hour class scheduled on Monday evening between 6:30 and 7:30 pm. The class is taught by myself (Eileen Tremblay) and Carl Moran.
