September 2008 Get to Know Your Congregation! Name: Sue Butchinski Current Address: 151 S. 4th Street, Coplay, PA 18037 High School/College attended: Pen Argyl High School, Indian River Community College, Allentown Business School Previous churches attended: Zion Welsh Presbyterian Church-Wind Gap, Mallard Creek Presbyterian, Charlotte, NC Current job, hobbies, or special talents: Purchasing Manager, Leidy's Inc. I enjoy gardening, cooking and reading. What has been your involvement with Hokey Pres: I've been on Session for many years, and have served on the Fellowship & Group Life Committee since I joined the church. I've also been on Property, Communication and Personnel. I also sing with the choir. Fun or special memories of Hokey Pres: The fellowship with the Church family - picnics, soup suppers, hymn sings, etc. How did you come to find/attend Hokey Pres: It was the closest Presbyterian Church to where I lived when I moved back here from Florida. I came for Sunday service and liked the church. The Pastor at the time was Dave Batcheldor, who gave a very good sermon, and I was greeted after the service by Ruth Miller, who made me feel very welcome. Family Info: I have a son, Joe, who lives with me, who was confirmed here, but no longer attends. He does, however, help out with Property issues whenever I ask him. Fall Clean Up! Please join us at the church for an INSIDE clean-up on Saturday, September 20th. Fall Clean Up, Part Two! We’ll be assembling another work crew to clean up the outside of the church in October. Details to come. Thanks for everyone’s hard work! Presbyterian Women The dedication, team work and contributions of so many people helped to make the Ice Cream/Basket Social quite a success. Many THANKS to all who sacrificed precious time, creative talents and endured the heat on one of the hottest days of the year to realize a profit of $1,593.00. Returning to fall schedule on September 14th Worship time: 10:00 a.m. Choir Practice Choir Practice will start on Wednesday September 10th. New choir members are always welcome.
