DYNAMIC YOUTH LEADER SOUGHT:

Neighboring Presbyterian Churches of Catasauqua and Hokendauqua jointly seek a part-time Youth Ministry Director to provide spiritual nurture and fellowship for youth in grades six through twelve, for 28 hours per month.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Youth Ministry Director to provide spiritual nurture and fellowship for young people in grades six through twelve, for twenty-eight hours per month for the school year, 2016-2017. Membership in Protestant faith tradition, completion of two to four years of college, and teaching experience are desirable. State and Federal security clearances are required. Requirements:

• Organizes two or more youth activities per month, including two community outreach trips and one Youth Sunday per congregation per school year.
• Valid, current PA drivers license.
• Teaches age appropriate Bible study.
• Invites free community speakers to speak on social issues affecting secondary school students.
• Organizes a minimum of two community outreach trips—caroling, senior center visits, etc.
• Communicates regularly with youth and volunteers by means of email and telephone.
• Organizes volunteer ministry with youth, including multi-generational meals and chaperoning.
• Reports in writing on a monthly basis to a committee consisting of both pastors and Christian Education chairs.
• Will receive a performance review 30 days after employment begins.
